We are friends

Who would we be without friends?
Friends who wanted us on their athletics team. No matter what. Friends who helped get us through Latin. Friends Mom told us to stay away from. The ones who tossed a legendary party for us and made sure we got home safely anyhow.

Friends we may not see for years, but every time we meet again, it’s as if time stood still. Friends who tolerate our weaknesses, but still help us improve ourselves.

Friends that let us know how far off bat we may be, even when everybody else is telling us how cool they think we are. Friends who ask us the right questions, or sense when it might be better just to listen. The ones who are around when it counts. We would be pretty lonely without them.

We are friends. What makes us friends is that we share a common goal:
